Forever goodbye

Early in the morning, Tara fired up her engines and began the journey to her new home near Washington D.C. Our spies told us of the excellent way Amy handled the boat, getting out of a tight parking spot flawlessly, and took this excellent photo.

Constellation Tara leaving Baltimore Yacht Basin
Although I am glad to no longer have two boats, I think I could have lived aboard Tara forever. Whereas Me Voy has her living challenges, and feels like living aboard a boat, Tara was luxury itself.
I don't regret our decision to sell her, but man that was a great boat live live on!

What a bittersweet moment I'm sure. How cool that your "spies" got a picture for you, and gave you good feedback on Tara's new owners. I think letting go of something is always easier when it's going into good hands.

I second Mid-Life. Bittersweet is a perfect way to describe this. I miss the transformation posts and can't wait until the new project is found.

Thanks MLC, it is bittersweet indeed. The timing right now, with a hurricane on the way makes it more sweet then bitter.Last time a hurricane hit, we spent it aboard TARA adjusting lines and wondering how MeVoy is doing. Now we are soooo thankful to have only one boat, and that on floating piers, so all we have to do is suck our thumbs in a fetal position down below, and peek out of the windows sometimes. Thankful and relieved too that TARA will be loved.

Jomomma! Are you throwing us into the lions mouth? You mean you're not enjoying the pictures of Billy and Chopper and our leisure lifestyle?

LOL, remember we have the cat from Hell over here, bringing all kinds of wildlife through the pet door. Watching your pet-kids is very zen, it can take the place of yoga. I love the words that start with re... redecorate, restore, remodel, rejuvenate.

Awesome Colin, that's pretty much why we killed our television...
Jomomma, don't forget, rethink, redesign, refresh and most important recoup!
