40 degrees

I never think it's going to happen. But it always does. And the hats and boots and coats loitering in my closet, once again saunter out, and whisper, "I told you so..." And the months of darkness and waiting are forgotten, as my knits and wools and polyester blends rejoice in the cold light of a changing season. How forgiving, how utterly accepting and loving and warm, my winter clothes are.

What a nice way to observe something as simple as warm clothes. Never would have thought of it this way, but you are right.

Love this post and your thoughts! We're not quite as cool yet, but the seasons are definitely changing! As far as the picture of "Don't believe everything you think" ... I just posted that exact quote on my Facebook page a couple of days ago!

That is a great thought, but I am not sure I am ready for the cold to start poking it's nose into my business yet. :) Certainly have a little time before the coats and heavy clothes come out here in Florida, but you can feel the turn coming in the wind. Especially when that wind is blowing more than 30. Goodbye summer, see you next year.

@ Pampered Pirate, great mind think alike, hah aha ha

@skylark no I'm not ready for the cold yet either, but it hit here nevertheless. Luckily it hit quickly and now its back to seasonal temps, in the 70's.

40 degrees?! Wow, how did that happen so fast. Right now on the west coast of Florida I'm still melting in the 90 degree temps and can't ever imagine it cooling down.
